Drivers asked to use Salisbury District Hospital Entrance B

Anyone visiting the hospital site is being warned that there's a bit of disruption.

We're being asked to use Entrance B to get to SDH today (Thursday 7th November), due to a problem at the tunnel underneath the A&E department.

The lights that warn drivers about oncoming traffic are not working on either end of the tunnel.

Those lights are in place as the road narrows, meaning larger vehicles have to use both sides of the road to pass through.

If we need to get the car parks at the rear of the hospital today, we're asked to use Entrance B (further down Odstock Road).

That would mean drivers avoid going through the tunnel to access the site.

There's no timescale for the lights being fixed at this stage, but we'll update this page with any further information.
