The London Road store's got planning permission for some new facilities close to the entrance.

A new Timpson branch is set to be built in the car park at Tesco in Amesbury.

They'll be offering dry cleaning, shoe and watch repairs, and key cutting.

It'll be based just to the left of the main entrance, by the cash machines.

Once it's ready, it'll be open 7 days a week:

  • Monday to Saturday - 9.00am to 6.00pm
  • Sunday - 10.00am to 4.00pm

The planning application shows how the signs on the outside of the building will look

The planning application's been approved by Wiltshire Council, despite a number of letters in to the authority objecting to the plans.

A total of 13 were sent in, all highlighting concerns about taking trade away from Amesbury Town Centre.

A document within the application listed other empty sites in the town, explaining that they were all 'unsuitable and unviable' to house a similar business.

Timpson has a history of working alongside Tesco stores - there's a kiosk, just like the one planned for Amesbury, at Andover's Tesco Extra too.

Salisbury's Southampton Road store has a Timpson inside it.
