Tarkan Agca is accused of murdering Andrzej Szaruta.

24 year old Tarkan pleaded not guilty during an earlier hearing at Winchester Crown Court.

His trial is due to start today (Monday 2 Dec 2019)

It's alleged he killed 63 year old Andrzej Szaruta.

Mr. Szaruta, known as Andy, was a Sergeant Major in the Royal Marine Commandos for 22 years. He held medals for service in the Falklands War, two tours in Northern Ireland, and the Bosnian war.

He died during an incident on the eastbound carriageway of the A303 near Solstice Park at Amesbury on 21 June 2019.

Prior to the incident, Andy had been travelling to London with his wife and daughter to visit their son Christian and his fiancée for the weekend. Christian had organised a surprise belated birthday day out, a father and son race car experience day, which sadly they did not get the opportunity to enjoy.

Tarkan Agca, from Crusader Way in Watford, denies murder.

The trial is expected to last two weeks.
