20 chickens missing after break-in at Salisbury smallholding

Wiltshire Police are hoping someone may have seen something which would help with their investigations.

A property in Ford Lane, Ford was broken into between 9pm yesterday (Monday 9th December) and 7am this morning (Tuesday 10th December).

Tools and a roll of astroturf were taken from the smallholding as well as 36 animals in total who may have been stolen or let out of the property.

The animals included are: 

  • 20 chickens
  • 14 guinea fowl 
  • 2 cats

PC Rachel Gunn, from Salisbury Community Policing Team, said:

"We are appealing for anyone with information which could assist our enquiries to come forward.

Perhaps you were driving in the area and saw something suspicious, or you have dash cam footage which has captured a vehicle in the area?"
