TIDWORTH: Man fined for assaulting police officer

The incident happened in an area of the town at the end of last year.

Aaron Heathcote, 27 from Calne, has been fined £215 after pleading guilty to assaulting a police officer. 

On November 29th 2019, the officer attended a property in Forest Drive in Tidworth after a report of a disorder. 

He then found Heathcote and was in conversation with him when he was struck in the face after looking away momentarily. 

The incident happened in Forest Drive, Tidworth

The officer was not injured, but the incident was witnessed by others at the scene. 

As well as the fine, Heathcote was ordered to pay £85 costs, £32 to Victim Support and compensation of £50.
