APPEAL: Witnesses wanted after fatal Salisbury crash

They have identified a few vehicles in which the drivers might have witnessed the incident on Wilton Road.

At around 4:55pm on Saturday 21st December 2019, police were called by the ambulance service after a Volkswagen Golf had collided with a 90 year-old pedestrian by the Salisbury Law Courts. 

The pedestrian, Ronald Jones, died at the scene, with the driver involved being an off-duty Wiltshire Police officer.

Wilton Road, where the incident happened

As part of their investigation, the force have now made a further appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision and want to speak to the drivers of these cars who were on Wilton Road at the time: 

  • A black Chevrolet Matiz
  • A silver BMW
  • A black Renault Clio

They hope they might be able to give them vital information about the incident.
