Runners will FINALLY be able to tackle those laps at Churchill Gardens again, four weeks after the last event.

A waterlogged course has meant parkrunners have missed out on their regular fix in Salisbury.

Heavy rain lead to the River Avon bursting its banks leaving organisers with no choice but to cancel on health and safety grounds.

The last event was back on December 15th.

Both the popular Christmas Day and New Year's Day events were also cancelled giving a total missed of five.

This evening the team of volunteers that run Salisbury parkrun have announced it will resume this Saturday (21st January) albeit on a slightly muddy course!!!

It's expected to be busy with regular runners wanting to show their support for the much loved 5k event and the New Year attracting newbies.
