The Trussell Trust run service has been relocated - but don't worry, it's not gone far!

The foodbank warehouse is now at 6b Ashfield Trading Estate.

That's the one directly in front of you as you get to the left hand bend within the Estate.

The Trussell Trust has been having a shift around of its premises in recent weeks

They were based at unit 12 there, but the lease on the site has now ended.

That's meant a two day removals operation to get everything from the previous warehouse into the new one.

The Trussell Trust tell us the relocation means they've got slightly more room for foodbank stocks.

The charity's seen an increase in demand for the emergency food parcels they provide for families in recent years, with no signs of it slowing down.

Between April and September 2019, the Salisbury foodbank saw a 37% rise in the amount of support they gave out, compared to the same period the year before.

New signage has gone up outside the Salisbury foodbank warehouse

The foodbank team has said they're keen to keep their stocks up, to make sure they can help as many people as possible:

"We are in the process of reorganising the warehouse but donations are more than welcome.  Please ring the doorbell by the large blue shutters to weigh in your donations.  There is plenty of room to pull up any vehicles right outside."
