40 firefighters tackled the blaze.

.A fire has torn through the roof of a property near Coombe Bissett overnight.

Eight fire engines were called to the blaze just before 2am this morning (Sat 18 Jan).

At its height 40 firefighters were at the scene on Homington Road.

Luckily no-one was injured or had to be rescued.

HOW BAD IS THE DAMAGE

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire Service say they believe around 70% of the roof has been damaged due to the fire.

Three crews are at the property removing roof tiles so they can put out any remaining fire.

Work will get underway later to find out what caused the blaze.
