Ball bearings have been fired at a house and car in the nearby villages.

Police are investigating two incidents of criminal damage earlier this month.

REDLYNCH:

A house in Morgans Vale Road was targeted between the 8th and 12th January.

A ball bearing was fired at a clock face, located on a tower on the property, causing the glass to smash.

Repairs are estimated at £1000

DOWNTON:

Last Wednesday (15th January) a car windscreen in the village was smashed after being hit by a ball bearing fired from a catapult.

It happened around 4.55pm and police believe a catapult was fired from a moving vehicle on the A338.

CCTV enquiries are ongoing.

The Downton and Redlynch area has been a hot spot for catapult incidents and police have prioritised that area for patrols.
