Toys needed to start touring library in Salisbury

Salisbury City Council is looking to create a toy lending service for its community areas.

In order to get the project touring across the city, Tesco Extra on Southampton Road is hosting a toy collection throughout February and March in store.

They want to gather as many toys as possible so that they can get it on the road soon.

The idea is to have a supply of good quality, age appropriate, durable and fun toys for the families with primary school aged children to play with and change regularly.

There will be a membership scheme of a small price for families which will help replace toys in the future. 

The council want: 

  • Baby toys
  • Sensory toys
  • Educational toys
  • Building blocks 
  • Construction
  • Role play toys
  • Games
  • Musical instruments
Childrens toys
Toys including building blocks are welcome for donation

Anyone looking donate any to the project will need to make sure they are up to the EU Safety Standards and British Standards, be new or of good quality, clean and complete.
