Witness appeal to collision on A303 at Amesbury

It's hoped other drivers may have dashcam footage from Thursday evening's serious crash which closed the eastbound carriageway.

WHAT HAPPENED?

At approximately 5.45pm on Thursday 23 January, an Audi A3 collided with a Scania lorry at the junction of the A303 and Amesbury Road near Solstice Park.

The driver of the car, a local man in his 30s, was taken by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital with head injuries.

The male lorry driver was shaken but uninjured.

ROAD WAS CLOSED

This stretch of the A303, between Countess Roundabout and the Bulford exit was closed for approximately six hours.

Wiltshire Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage.
