Some of the people who go above and beyond in the community we live in have been recognised at the annual awards.

The gala event at the Stones Hotel at High Post saw more than 140 people attend to celebrate the incredible things that local people do.

Winners were announced across 11 categories - and for many, it was the first time they'd been rewarded for their dedication and selflessness.

More than 100 nominations came in to Spire FM for the awards, with the judges making the tough decision to choose the recipients.

The prizes are a way of the Salisbury and South Wiltshire community saying a big thank you to those that do so much to support others.

The award winners reflect all walks of life in our community, in categories including Sports Achievement, Teacher, Carer and Parent of the Year.

There was also one award for a committed team of volunteers.
