Two women arrested after thefts from Salisbury shops

Officers on foot patrol responded to an incident reported via the Shopwatch radio scheme

Officers out on patrol yesterday (Tuesday 28th January) received information concerning two females suspected of stealing over £200 worth of clothing and toiletries.

Two women were searched and the stolen items recovered.

Shops targeted include The Body Shop, Mountain Warehouse and M&S.

Wiltshire Police have charged Speranta Sali, 18, and Victoria Vasile, 42, both of Friars Orchard, with five counts of theft.

The pair will appear before Salisbury Magistrates in February.

OPERATION VENDOR

Police were providing a visible presence within the city as part of Operation Vendor, which is aimed at discouraging criminals in the centre of Salisbury. 

They hope that will deter people from committing crime if officers are often seen patrolling on foot
