11 year old boy racially abused in Salisbury

The child was targeted by a man on Monday morning, leaving him 'upset and shaken'.

Wiltshire Police tell us this happened in Parsonage Green in Harnham at around 8.35am that day (Monday 27th January).

A man 'remonstrated' at the young victim, and made comments which officers believed were racially motivated.

The boy wasn't injured, but was left upset and shaken by the incident.

DESCRIPTION

A man involved in thought to be: 

  • White
  • Slim build
  • Short ginger hair
  • Wearing dark denim jeans
  • Light green jacket
  • Green baseball cap, pulled down over his eyes

He was not injured in any way but was left upset and shaken by what happened.

PC Andy Windsor, from Salisbury Community Policing Team, said: 

"This is a very disturbing incident where a grown man has spoken to this child in a very derogatory and offensive way.

"We know it will have been busy in the area around the time of the incident, so are appealing for any witnesses to come forward."
