A property in the village has been damaged and Plantation Road remains CLOSED.

Emergency services were called at 5.36pm last night (10th February) and police immediately shut the road.

The occupants were out at the time.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service say a dog, which was inside the property, was brought out to safety.

SSEN were alerted at 6.16pm, but engineers have been unable to gain access in order to fix the fault.

The tree is being removed today.

Two customers were without power overnight but SSEN hope to have them both restored by 4pm.

Inspectors from Wiltshire Council's building control are also expected on site to check damage to the property.
