The youngster's written a sweet letter urging officers to do more to protect the planet.

Jack Heath isn't impressed that police tape, used to seal off a scene, isn't always removed when it's  no longer needed.

He's branded it 'littering' after learning about the topic at his school and wants officers to remember to remove it.

He wrote:

"Dear Policeman, you know when you put out the police tape, can you stop leaving it there because it is littering and I do not like littering."

Salisbury Police shared Jack's letter on Facebook.
