A credit card from inside the wallet was used to make purchases around the city too.

Wiltshire Police have given us two CCTV pictures of a man they'd like to speak to in connection with what happened.

The theft and fraud dates back to Monday February 3rd, but the details have now been released by officers.

The wallet was dropped in the Devizes Road area, where one of the fraud incidents also took place

A man in his 30s is believed to have dropped his wallet in Devizes Road.

That was then stolen and the card inside used at the Hoi Fan Chinese takeaway on Devizes Road, as well as Tesco Express and the BP garage on Wilton Road later the same day.

There were also two further unsuccessful attempts to use the card elsewhere.

Police are now asking for our help if we can help identify the man seen in the CCTV images.

If you can help, you're asked to call 101 and quote crime reference number 54200012264.
