Overnight surveys in the Countess Roundabout area in Amesbury are taking place from tonight (Monday 16th March).

This will run each night until Thursday (19th March).

Work will take place overnight on and around the busy roundabout

Some sections of the road will need to be temporarily closed:

  • One lane will be shut on Countess roundabout
  • One lane shut on the approaches to the roundabout on the A345 and on the A303

People living close to the roadworks area are being warned that they might face some disruption this week because of noise.

Highways England say the machinery they'll be using will run in 20 minute intervals during the work.

They've said that 'may be disruptive to residents' as it will be as noisy as a motorbike.
