The Southampton Road branch is shutting at 10pm each night this week, as the supermarket deals with 'panic-buying'.

As the coronavirus outbreak has been developing, stores have seen an increase in shoppers stocking up on essentials.

From tonight (Tuesday 17th March), Tesco is closing some its 24 hour stores like Salisbury's, early each night.

They'll be shutting at 10.00pm to allow for staff to work overnight to replenish stocks and fulfill online orders.

They'll be opening from 10.00am.

Opening hours at the Amesbury store and the Durrington Express remain as normal.

The move from Tesco also follows news that Salisbury's Iceland and Boots stores are opening early on Wednesday (18th March) so only elderly customers can visit.
