With the coronavirus situation still developing, the organisation's focusing on calls and emails, and stopping face to face contact.

The Samaritans says its 20,000+ volunteers across the UK are at the very heart of what they do.


In light of government advice, the Samaritans has taken the difficult decision to stop face to face support in the Salisbury branch on Milford Street.

It's also stopping its training sessions for new volunteers.


The Samaritans say the changes doesn't mean they are not here to help.

It's monitoring the coronavirus situation carefully to make sure it keeps everyone safe. This might mean it takes longer for them to answer the phone or answer emails.
