Salisbury's H&M shuts amid coronavirus outbreak

Given how the situation has developed this week, the clothing chain's decided to temporarily close all UK stores. 

  • All H&M stores will be closed from today 21st March
  • This will be for an initial period of two weeks
  • H&M will decide what happens next based on the latest advice from the UK government and the World Health Organisation

H&M in Salisbury's Old George Mall will be closed from today, Saturday 21 March.

COVID-19: The situation developed faster than anyone anticipated

In an email to H&M's members today (Sat 21 March), the retailer said:

"These last few weeks have been completely unprecedented. We have been working hard to make the right decisions under difficult circumstances, and we hope that we have so far got this right."

"As the situation has continued to develop faster than anyone could anticipate, we have constantly re-evaluated what this should mean for H&M."

"We are continuing to navigate this situation together, and would like to thank all our teams nationwide for their dedication and continued support of our stores, our customers and our communities."


    • H&M are currently offering free standard delivery and free & flexible returns on all H&M online orders to your home or designated pick-up point
    • H&M have extended its returns policy from 28 to 100 days, accepting any unused items with original hangtags and a valid receipt
    • H&M has said it's sorry for the inconvenience during this difficult time
