Three more confirmed coronavirus in Wiltshire; 39 more in Hampshire

The latest figures have been released by the Department of Health.

These figures are correct as of 9.00am on 21st March, based on 72,818 tests carried out in the UK.


There's been a small increase in Covid-19 cases, up to 25 across the county.

That's a rise of three on yesterday's figures.

20 of those are in the Wiltshire Council area, with 5 in the Swindon Borough Council area.


The county's amongst the most prevalent areas for coronavirus, with a total of 168 confirmed cases.

That's an increase of 39 in a day.

That's broken down as 138 in the Hampshire County Council area, 8 in Southampton, 20 in Portsmouth and 2 on the Isle of Wight.


Across the UK, here's the latest figures:

  • 67,800 tested negative for coronavirus
  • 5,018 tested positive
  • Increase of 1.035 cases in the last 24 hours
  • 233 patients have died
  • 79 patients have fully recovered so far


The advice from the Government is to 'stay at home, protect the NHS, save lives'.
