COVID-19: Another increase in both Wiltshire and Hampshire cases

Official date from Public Health England shows Hampshire County Council is the local authority with the highest number of diagnosed cases.

As of 9am today (Sunday 22nd March) there are 156 diagnosed cases of Covid-19 in the area covered by Hampshire County Council.

It's yet another rise for the local authority,

Meanwhile Portsmouth City Council has seen an increase to 25 cases, Southampton City has 11 and the Isle of Wight  has two.

It means Hampshire as a whole now has 194 cases.

Meanwhile Wiltshire has also seen a rise with 29 cases

23 of them are in Wiltshire Council's area and 6 in Swindon Borough.

The total number of cases across the UK is now 5,683

281 people have died while 135 have recovered.

HIGH-RISK PEOPLE TOLD TO STAY HOME:

The government has now issued a full list of high-risk people told to stay at home for the next 12 weeks.

The NHS is directly contacting people with these conditions to provide further advice to protect them from the spread of Covid-19.
