New Forest District Council has scrapped charges at all town and village car parks for three weeks in response to the coronavirus crisis.

The local authority says charges have been suspended "to help the large number of volunteers in obtaining essential supplies for those who are self-isolating or are vulnerable people."

The measure will be reviewed on the 16th April.

You won't have to pay for parking in Fordingbridge for the next three weeks.

Charges will still apply at coastal car parks but people are being advised to avoid using those as part of the Government's Stay at Home instructions.

Refunds will not be given for parking clocks for this three week period, but New Forest bosses are looking at extending the expiration date of the Clocks depending upon the duration of this suspension.
