COVID-19: Wiltshire hits 70 cases as Hampshire exceeds 400

The latest figures from Public Health England have been released.

The figures published this evening (27th March) show there are now 70 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Wiltshire.

The figures for the county are broken down by local authority as follows. 

  • Wiltshire County Council -54
  • Swindon Borough Council - 16

Meanwhile Hampshire has seen another big daily increase of 64 cases bringing the total to 412.

The figures are broken down as follows,

  • Hampshire County Council - 317
  • Southampton City Council - 37
  • Portsmouth City Council - 50 
  • Isle of Wight Council - 8
The number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 in both Hampshire and Wiltshire continue to rise.


181 people have died in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of deaths from Covid-19 to 758 

135 people have recovered.

The total number of people across the UK diagnosed with the infection is now 14,543

No details of the number of people tested in each local are released.
