COVID-19: Hampshire hits 500 cases, Wiltshire rises by 17

Public Health England have released the latest local authority figures.

WILTSHIRE:

The latest figures published for today (29th March) show there are now 93 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county.

That's a rise of 17 since yesterday.

The figures for the county are broken down by local authority as follows:

  • Wiltshire County Council -67
  • Swindon Borough Council - 26

HAMPSHIRE:

Meanwhile the number of cases in the last 24 hours has risen from 499 to 555.

The figures are broken down as follows:

  • Hampshire County Council - 432
  • Southampton City Council - 43
  • Portsmouth City Council - 70
  • Isle of Wight Council - 10

NATIONAL FIGURES

The total number of people across the UK that have tested positive is now 19,522.

The death toll now stands at 1,228.

That's a rise of 209 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The number of people that are known to have recovered is at 135.

No details of the number of people tested in each local area are released.
