CORONAVIRUS: Wiltshire cases over 100, Hampshire up by 94

Public Health England have released the latest local authority figures.

WILTSHIRE:

The latest figures published for today (30th March) show there are now 104 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county.

That's a rise of 11 since yesterday.

The figures for the county are broken down by local authority as follows:

  • Wiltshire County Council -76
  • Swindon Borough Council - 28

HAMPSHIRE:

Meanwhile the number of cases in the last 24 hours has risen from 555 to 649.

A rise of 94 since yesterday

The figures are broken down as follows:

  • Hampshire County Council - 498
  • Southampton City Council - 68
  • Portsmouth City Council - 72
  • Isle of Wight Council - 11

NATIONAL FIGURES

The total number of people across the UK that have tested positive is now 22,141, an increase of 2,107.

As of 5pm yesterday, the death toll stands at 1,408.

That's a rise of 180 deaths in 24 hours.

A new process for collecting numbers of recovered patients is in development, the last figure recorded was 135 on the 22nd of March.

No details of the number of people tested in each local area are released.
