Officers have been attempting to "get to every corner" of their patch whilst patrolling during Covid-19.

Team 4 had a quiet night last night (Monday 30th into Tuesday 31st March) with people sticking to the new rules on essential travel and social distancing.

Sergeant Steve Jolly said:

"I think it is safe to say that there is nothing normal about policing at the moment. The city and roads are eerily empty and all those that we have come into contact with have a legitimate purpose for not being at home. It would seem for tonight that the good people of Salisbury are abiding by the rules of social distancing."

Although this shift has been quiet, Team 4 have remained busy. My team have been patrolling throughout the night, attempting to get to every corner of our patch. Tonight, the team have covered a collective total of 420 miles. We will use this peaceful time for visible patrols, reducing the opportunity for crime to occur."
