The ex-marathon runner has tweeted her appreciation as part of the #ClapForCarers that happened tonight (Thursday 2nd April).

The former world champion runner has said thank you to all NHS workers, but specifically mentioned all those at Salisbury District Hospital

That's because the former world champion's dad, Peter, is being looked after there.

Paula, who used to live in the area, said she was taking part in the #ClapForCarers tonight, where people went outside and clapped at 8pm to show their appreciation for NHS workers across the country.

Last Thursday (26th March), the first one took place and saw lots of people from across the UK taking part:

Locally, it included Salisbury Cathedral turning it's spire blue:

It has now become a weekly thing as people show their support for the health service during the coronavirus crisis.
