COVID-19: Wiltshire rise in single figures, Hampshire up 77

Public Health England have released the latest local authority figures.


The latest figures published for today (3rd April) show there are now 154 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county.

That's a rise of 9 since yesterday.

The figures for the county are broken down by local authority as follows:

  • Wiltshire County Council - 110
  • Swindon Borough Council - 44


Meanwhile the number of cases in the last 24 hours has risen from 904 to 981.

An increase of 77.

The figures are broken down as follows:

  • Hampshire County Council - 749
  • Southampton City Council - 128
  • Portsmouth City Council - 85
  • Isle of Wight Council - 19
Department of Health and Social Care release the updated figures daily


The total number of people across the UK that have tested positive is now 38,168, an increase of 4,450.

As of 5pm yesterday (Thursday 2nd April), the number of people to have died in hospital, that have tested positive, is at 3,605.

That's a rise of 684 deaths in 24 hours.

A new process for collecting numbers of recovered patients is in development, the last figure recorded was 135 on the 22nd of March.

No details of the number of people tested in each local area are released.
