Food delivery stolen from doorstep in Downton

A thief took a plastic box packed with groceries from an address in the Moot Gardens area.

  • The theft was reported to Wiltshire Police this morning (Friday 3 April)
  • It's believed it happened sometime between 4am and 7am

Someone swiped the box, which contained a delivery of food and essential groceries including bread, milk, and vegetables, from the garden of the address. It had been delivered for the homeowners.

A SHOCKING CRIME

This awful incident happened in the grip of the Coronavirus pandemic which has seen supermarket shelves stripped bare by panic buying, and shoppers having to stand in long queues just to get basic grocery items.

POLICE APPEAL

Wiltshire Police are appealing for information about the theft of this food box.
