COVID-19: 15 new cases in Wiltshire; Hampshire cases now over 1,000

Public Health England have released the latest local authority figures.

WILTSHIRE

The latest figures published for today (Saturday 4th April) show there are now 169 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county.

That's a rise of 15 since yesterday.

The figures for the county are broken down by local authority as follows:

  • Wiltshire Council area - 120
  • Swindon Borough Council area - 49

HAMPSHIRE

The number of cases recorded in the last 24 hours has risen to 1,068.

That's an increase of 87 in the last 24 hours..

The figures are broken down as follows:

  • Hampshire County Council area - 809
  • Southampton City Council area - 145
  • Portsmouth City Council area - 89
  • Isle of Wight Council area - 25

NATIONAL FIGURES

The total number of people across the UK that have tested positive is now 41,903, an increase of 3,735.

As of 5.00pm yesterday (Friday 3rd April), the number of people to have died in hospital, that have tested positive, is at 4,313.

That's a rise of 708 deaths in 24 hours.

Updated figures haven't been released for the number of people that have recovered from the illness.

No details of the number of people tested in each local area are released.
