The event now won't go ahead until 2021, with a proposed date of 17th July.

The Fordingbridge Events Group made the announcement, saying they decided to postpone the festival due to the current Coronavirus threat.

This year's festival was meant to go ahead on 18th July.

The group has also cancelled the VE event, which was due to take place on the 8th May.

Nicky Jenkins, Chair of Fordingbridge Events Group, said:

"After much consideration, the committee has unanimously agreed to postpone this year's festival.

Although we are not sure what the state of play will be in July, the current restrictions are making it very difficult to proceed and we think it likely that even if restrictions are lifted by then, group gatherings will still not be encouraged.

As a group, we have decided to postpone the festival until next year."

There is some good news though, the Group has said they are hoping to arrange a free community event when the current situation changes instead.

Everyone who reserved a stand for the 2020 festival has been notified and can either use the money to hold their place for 2021 or get a refund.
