COVID-19: Increase of one case in Wiltshire, Hampshire up 83

Public Health England have released the latest local authority figures.


The latest figures published for today (Sunday 5th April) show there are now 170 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county.

That's a rise of one since yesterday.

The figures for the county are broken down by local authority as follows:

  • Wiltshire Council area - 120
  • Swindon Borough Council area - 50


The number of cases recorded in the last 24 hours has risen to 1,151.

That's an increase of 83 in the last 24 hours..

The figures are broken down as follows:

  • Hampshire County Council area - 876
  • Southampton City Council area - 147
  • Portsmouth City Council area - 96
  • Isle of Wight Council area - 32
Department of Health and Social Care release the updated figures daily


The total number of people across the UK that have tested positive is now 47,806, an increase of 5,914.

As of 5.00pm yesterday (Saturday 4th April), the number of people to have died in hospital, that have tested positive, is at 4,934.

That's a rise of 621 deaths in 24 hours.

Updated figures haven't been released for the number of people that have recovered from the illness.

No details of the number of people tested in each local area are released.
