The operator's put plans in place to run some services for the Bank Holidays - but they'll be severely reduced.

Salisbury Reds has already reduced services in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, due to passenger numbers falling and the Government advice on only making essential travel.

The Easter weekend will see even fewer services running on routes around the city.

Fewer services are due to be running on the Salisbury Reds network over the Easter weekend

That new timetable means that on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, many services will only run once every two hours.

Routes affected include:

  • R2 - Bishopdown/Hampton Park/Bishopdown Farm
  • R3 - Wilton/Bulbridge/Ditchampton
  • R5 - West Harnham
  • R6 - Laverstock
  • R10 - Devizes Road/St Peter's Place
  • R11 - Old Sarum

You can see the full timetable for any routes throughout the Easter weekend on the Salisbury Reds website.

We're reminded that we should only be using public transport for essential travel only during this time.

Salisbury Reds are also planning a further reduced timetable to come for weekday services that will come into effect from Tuesday 14th April.

More details will be released on that in due course.

The bus operator has also said their customer service centre will be closed over the Easter weekend (from Friday 10th April), and will be available again from Tuesday 14th.
