COVID-19: Cases increase by 30 in Wiltshire; up 88 in Hampshire

Latest figures have been released by Public Health England by local authority region.


The latest figures published for Sunday (12th April) show there are now 387 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county.

That's a rise of 30 since Saturday.

The figures for the county are broken down by local authority as follows:

  • Wiltshire Council area - 227
  • Swindon Borough Council area- 160


The number of cases recorded in the county now stands at 2,023.

That's an increase of 88 within 24 hours.

The figures are broken down as follows:

  • Hampshire County Council area - 1,573
  • Southampton City Council area - 228
  • Portsmouth City Council area - 169
  • Isle of Wight Council area - 53
Department of Health and Social Care release the updated figures daily


The total number of people across the UK that have tested positive is now 84,279 an increase of 5,288

Figures released today ( Sunday 12th April) show the number of people to have died in hospital, that have tested positive, now stands at 10,612.

That's a rise of 737 deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

Updated figures haven't been released for the number of people that have recovered from the illness.

No details of the number of people tested in each local area are released.
