The entertainer wanted to support Salisbury Hospice, Alabare and Wiltshire Air Ambulance during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Disco Dion's been holding online 'After School Clubs' and events through his Facebook page for the last few weeks, with great success.

The live streams have had thousands of views and been a popular daily activity for many South Wiltshire families.

Over the Easter weekend, he's taken things one step further by encouraging viewers to donate to their JustGiving page in support of some of the charities continuing to work hard through the outbreak.

A target of £1,500 was set, to be split between Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Alabare, and Salisbury Hospice, with the donations coming in through the weekend.

As well as the normal discos, Dion Spencer's also been holding special events like music quizzes and themed parties, like the 80s one held on Saturday (11th April).

All of his events are available to watch again through his Facebook page.

You can also donate directly to his JustGiving page.

On the fundraiser, Dion's explained more about why he wanted to help, and how much he's enjoying it:

"We decided it was a beautiful gesture (to) try and help the charities close to our hearts who are unable to do their big fundraisers over this time. We understand there's a massive wanting to help the NHS too, but our little mates also need a helping hand to keep going! Just want to say a massive thanks to you all for all the Disco Dion love and support - hope it's keeping you going like it is us! We've got this... stay safe."
