Two more patients with Covid-19 die at Salisbury District Hospital

The latest were both on Easter Sunday (12th April), taking the total to 25 people at our hospital.

The Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust has confirmed that a man and a woman have died.

Both had underlying health conditions.

In a statement, a spokesperson said: 

"Sadly, a total of 25 patients who had tested positive for COVID-19, have died at Salisbury District Hospital.

"One man in his sixties, with pre-existing health conditions, died on 12th April.

"One women in her eighties, also with pre-existing health conditions, died on 12th April.

"Our thoughts and condolences are with the patients families and friends at this difficult and distressing time."

NATIONAL FIGURES

The Department of Health has confirmed there have now been 12,107 patients across the UK that have died in hospitals, having tested positive for Covid-19 (as of 5.00pm, Monday 13th April).

That's a rise of 778 on the previous day.

The figures do not take into consideration anyone who may have passed away with Covid-19 while at home, or in care settings.
