Coronavirus: 21 new cases in Wiltshire; 113 more in Hampshire

Public Health England has released the latest case numbers by local authority region.


The latest figures published for Tuesday (14th April) show there are now 432 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county.

That's a rise of 21 cases since Monday.

The figures for the county are broken down by local authority as follows:

  • Wiltshire Council area - 245
  • Swindon Borough Council area - 187


The number of cases recorded in the county now stands at 2,181.

That's an increase of 113 cases within 24 hours.

The figures are broken down as follows:

  • Hampshire County Council area - 1,678
  • Southampton City Council area - 261
  • Portsmouth City Council area - 189
  • Isle of Wight Council area - 53
Department of Health and Social Care release the updated figures daily


The total number of people across the UK that have tested positive is now 93,873 - an increase of 5,252 cases.

Figures released today (Tuesday 14th April) show the number of people to have died in hospital, that have tested positive, now stands at 12,107.

That's a rise of 778 deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

Updated figures haven't been released for the number of people that have recovered from the illness.

No details of the number of people tested in each local area are released.
