Carl Orme ran up and down his drive more than THREE THOUSAND times.

Carl was supposed to be running the Brighton Marathon yesterday (19th April) but like many events it's been postponed due to Covid-19.

For Carl it was part of challenge to run 20 marathons in 2020 to raise £20,000 for Breast Cancer Now.

Undeterred the 'pink runner', as he's become known, set off in the spring sunshine to run the 26.2 mile distance on his own driveway.

He completed 3,246 lengths in 7hrs, 21 minutes and 23 seconds describing the experience as "awful"

It took him 2.5 hours longer than normal.

"It's one thing to run a marathon and hats off to everyone that has done it but at least when I've run marathons you can get into a rhythm and settled. The constant turning, my calves hurt, my everything hurts"

The achievement comes less than two weeks after he used the stairs in his home to climb the equivalent of Mount Everest!

Carl is supporting Breast Cancer Now because his he nearly lost his mum to the disease twice.
