Covid-19: 51 new cases for Wiltshire; Hampshire up 43

Public Health England has released the latest case numbers by local authority region.


The latest figures published for Monday (20th April) show there are now 647 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county.

That's a rise of 51 cases since Sunday.

The figures for the county are broken down by local authority as follows:

  • Wiltshire Council area - 366
  • Swindon Borough Council area - 281


The number of cases recorded in the county now stands at 2,818.

That's an increase of 43 cases within 24 hours.

The figures are broken down as follows:

  • Hampshire County Council area - 2,159
  • Southampton City Council area - 354
  • Portsmouth City Council area - 236
  • Isle of Wight Council area - 69

The total number of people across the UK that have tested positive is now 124,743 - an increase of 4,676 cases in 24 hours.

Figures released today (Monday 20th April) show the number of people to have died in hospital, that have tested positive, now stands at 16,509.

That's a rise of 449 deaths reported since yesterday.

Updated figures haven't been released for the number of people that have recovered from the illness.

No details of the number of people tested in each local area are released.
