The film director has sent a message of support to staff at our district hospital during Covid-19.

The 51 year, old best known for his film Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, lives at Tollard Royal in the parish of Berwick St John.

In a video message shared by the Stars Appeal he has thanked the staff during this "challenging time" stressing it is "much appreciated."

In 2005 Guy's then wife, Madonna, was treated at Salisbury District Hospital after she fell off her horse while riding in the grounds of the Ashcombe Estate.

She suffered three cracked ribs,a broken collarbone and a broken hand.

After their divorce in 2008 Guy kept the Georgian Manor House and its 1,200 acre estate.

He is now married to Jacqui Ainsley and the pair have three children, born  in 2011, 2012 and 2014.

Ritchie also has two sons with Madonna.
