80 year old Ann Pearce took a nasty tumble while out taking her daily exercise with her dog.

Ann's daughter, Carol Cave, got in touch with Spire FM to see if we could help track down the "very special young couple" who helped her mum.

The accident happened around 5.30-6.00pm on Friday evening (24th April) as Ann walked along Boscombe Road near the double mini roundabouts.

The area of Amesbury where the couple helped Ann

Her dog, Roly, was spooked by another dog in its garden who lunched at the fence causing Roly to pull away.

Ann lost her balance, falling to the ground and striking her head on the pavement with the impact causing her glasses to break.

Fortunately for Ann a young couple, who were out on a walk, came to her aid.

Daughter Carol, who lives in Cornwall, is truly grateful:

"This wonderful couple acted total selfless in these very difficult times and came to the aid of my mother and her little dog who were both in a very distressed and confused state. They took excellent care of them both, called for an ambulance and the young man also ran some distance to contact my sister Rachel to come to the aid of my mother while the young lady stayed with my mother and Roly.

"Unfortunately, this wonderful couple, in all the understandable confusion of the ambulance crew arriving and taking care of my mother, disappeared before my sister Rachel could managed to get the names or contact details of this lovely couple."

Ann has steri-strips to her head injury, a few bruises and grazes but is recovering well from the whole incident.

THANK YOU

Carol says she and her family want to send a "wholehearted and sincere big thank you" to the couple and the ambulance crew.

"From myself, my sisters, son in laws, grandchildren and great grandchildren and  most of all my mum Ann Pearce, we would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to that unknown couple and the ambulance crew from the bottom of all our hearts for all their help and care. "
