Katherine Matthews whipped up the treat in honour of the war veteran's big day and to raise funds for the NHS.

Captain Tom Moore has won the hearts of the British public after raising almost £30m for the NHS by walking lengths of his garden.

Katherine Matthews, who runs Cakey McCakeface, spent hours making the showstopper which is made up of four layers of vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream.

She can't deliver it to him due to the Covid-19 retrictions but is auctioning it off for NHS Charities Together - the cause supported by Captain Tom.

"I've never made a 100th birthday cake, so I thought I'm going to one! I can't deliver it to him and I'm sure he'll be inundated with cake so I thought lets make some money for the NHS charities."

The auction ends at 8pm tonight (30th April) and you can submit your bid on Katherine's Facebook page below.
