The DJ streamed live on Facebook for a whole day in support of Salisbury District Hospital's charity.

Dion Spencer played tunes non-stop from 8.00pm on Saturday (2nd May) to 8.00pm on Sunday (3rd May).

He chose a different genre for every hour to cater for all tastes, asking only for a donation to his JustGiving page in return.

Disco Dion's efforts proved really popular, with thousands of people streaming the sets through his Facebook page.

He's raised more than £5,500 for the Stars Appeal, with more donations still coming in.

On his social media feed, Dion said he was overwhelmed with the support:

"A big thank you to everyone that supported and a massive thank you to the hardcore few that stayed with me for the whole 24 hours!"

Dion's previous longest set was 10 hours, so taking that up 24 hours has been no mean feat.

He's also been helping to bring people together through the Covid-19 lockdown by hosting 'after school discos' on his Facebook page for the last few weeks.
