The annual event had to do things a little differently this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Fabulous Family Fun Day aims to raise vital funds for Salisbury Hospice Charity and is run in memory of Lyn Futcher, who passed away 7 years ago.

It traditionally takes place at the city's Rugby Club but with the current government restrictions meaning that wasn't possible organisers held a virtual version!

There was:

  • A virtual football league
  • A fancy dress competition
  • Live music
  • A Salisbury based Quiz - which was hosted by comedian Andrew White

All the events took place live on their Facebook page for all to get involved with, and they managed to raise £8,360

Julia Spiller, who works on the Fabulous Family Fun Day team, had her head shaved as part of the fundraising, and managed to get £4,570:

The charity said:

"This could not have been achieved without the determination of Grieg Futcher and all the Fabulous Famly Fun Day team, we thank you and those who donated so much."

This was the seventh edition of the event.
