To celebrate the efforts made by key workers during the current crisis, Salisbury City council launched a new challenge.

They wanted families in the city, and the surrounding parishes, to use their imaginations and make a scarecrow, dressed as an essential worker.

There are three different age categories that were judged - under 10's, under 16's and adults.

Salisbury City Council have announced the winners are:

  • Adults: The Ashton Family with a delivery person
  • Under 10's: Levi Rawkins - age 7 with 'Super Doc'
  • Under 16's: Max Tooze - age 14 with a farmer

A spokesperson for the council said:

"Thank you so much for sending us your entries - we had a great time looking through them and found it so difficult to choose winners as they were all fantastic."

The winners and runners up from each category will be contacted soon.
