It's been rescheduled for a second time after the original date of June 13th 2020 was cancelled.

Hopes that the Salisbury Pride event would still go ahead on Saturday 26th September have come to an end.

It was decided in March that they would push it back a few months

But Salisbury Pride have announced the event is being postponed for a second time.

Caroline Corbin, a Salisbury City Councillor, has been co-ordinating the event.

Before this latest announcement she told Spire FM they hoped it could still go ahead later this year.

"We're just waiting to see what management we'll need to put in place to, firstly, make sure it's a safe event, secondly that we control the numbers appropriately according to the guidelines of the time and if we have to do that then may we have to try and get somebody that can record the whole thing and live stream it.

I'm just hoping that all the things we had planned can carry through to September and still run the event."

Since Caroline's comments Salisbury Pride has taken the decision to postpone until the Saturday 29th May 2021 due to the current situation with regard to the coronavirus pandemic.

HELP STILL NEEDED

The organisers are still looking for people to get involved and help out with the event.

They are looking for volunteers and just any who's got an ideas that they think may be beneficial, to just get in touch.

If you are interested, you can get in contact via the Salisbury Pride UK Facebook page.
