The force want to hear YOUR views on how they've managed policing during the pandemic so far.

Wiltshire Police along with the county's Police and Crime Commissioner have put together a short survey that they're asking residents to fill in on how effective policing has felt to them during the pandemic.

It's so a better understanding of the public's views can be gathered as the coronavirus situation continues.

Police and Crime Commissioner, Angus Macpherson said

"The police have been working in unchartered territory over the past few months and it's important that during the current challenges they continue to work and engage with the public."

The survey, which takes no more than 5 minutes to complete, can be found here: www.wiltshire.police.uk.

It asks things like:

  • When you have been outside of your property for any of the essential reasons during the first phase of lockdown, have you seen the police out on patrol/engaging with communities?
  • Do you feel that Wiltshire Police are patrolling in the areas where they need to be?
  • Have you had cause to report to us during lockdown?

The survey aims to help Wiltshire Police gauge how they're responding during what's described as "unchartered territory."

Chief Constable, Kier Pritchard is urging everyone to fill the survey in.

"Community policing has been and continues to be at the heart of policing during this pandemic and I'm asking the public to give us their feedback on our response in Wiltshire as we move through this unprecedented period.

"The past few months has undoubtedly been challenging for Wiltshire Police and the public alike and it's important that we continue to work with the public to build upon our policing response through the next phases of this pandemic."

You have until midnight on Wednesday 27th May to give your views.
